Irregularities prompt Govt. to order probe into MP Wakf Board

Bhopal: The Central Waqf Council, (CWC), New Delhi is going to hold training programme in Waqf matters for the Chief Executive Officers, (CEOs), of all the 28 Waqf boards of India here in Bhopal, the capital of central Indian state of Madhya Pradesh, on December 26.

According to Madhya Pradesh Waqf Board, (MPWB), CEO, S. M. H. Zaidi the CWC is of the view that there is a strong need of in-service training of the staff of Waqf boards and after considering its importance it has decided to launch the training programme in collaboration with Academy of Administration and Management in Bhopal on December 26.

Zaidi said that the programme would focus on various aspects of Waqf management and the problems faced by the board officials in their day-to-day activities. As such preparatory meeting of the CEOs of all the 28 Waqf boards is convened to identify the issues and problems on which the training is required to be modeled.

Madhya Pradesh has become the first State in India that is going to organize the meeting of CEOs of the Waqf boards from all over the country to discuss the problems faced by them in their working. After the meeting of the CEOs, the CWC also plans to hold the meeting of the chairmen of all the 28 Waqf boards in the State capital.

It may be recalled here that on the initiatives of the CWC, a similar training-cum-awareness programme of the State Government officials associated with the Waqf matters from across the country was conducted in Bhopal in July this year.
