Backward Federation for quota within quota in Women Reservation Bill
New Delhi: The suspension of Rajya Sabha member from Lok Janshakti Party Shabir Ali was terminated by the adoption of a motion in the House today.
The MP had been suspended from the House from March 9 for the entire Budget session over creating ruckus against the Women's Reservation Bill.
Minister of State in Prime Minister's Office Prithviraj Chavan moved the motion in the House for the termination of his suspension.
The motion was adopted by a voice vote in the backdrop of the BJP commotion in the House demanding a JPC probe into the IPL controversy.
Seven MPs were suspended from the House on March 9 for disrupting the proceedings during the passage of the Women's Reservation Bill. The House had withdrawn the suspension of four Samajwadi Party MPs.
Now, following today's motion, two MPs Subhash Yadav (RJD) and Ejaz Ali (unattached) remain suspended for the rest of the Budget session.
