Bhopal:
World Bank has lauded the efforts made by the Madhya Pradesh
Government for training under specialized modules of ITI's Centre of
Excellence. In its report on Centres of Excellence, the World Bank
has included Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat and Haryana as best states.
Madhya Pradesh was adjudged best last year also.
The information about the results was
given by World Bank representative Nalin Jaina after conclusion of
World Bank Review Mission's meeting, which was held at Bhopal on
January 6 and 7. The World Bank had made proper utilization of
funds, development of infrastructure and quality of training as
benchmarks for assessment of best states.
Twenty-eight institutions of Madhya
Pradesh have been chosen by the World Bank as Centres of Excellence.
These institutions have utilized 67 per cent funds allocated for
modernization and training while this figure was 40 per cent at the
national level.
Out of these 28 institutions, each
institute has been chosen for training in one specific centre.
Ratlam has been assigned training of electricals, Mandla
construction technology, Shivpuri tourism, Bhopal refrigeration &
air-conditioning, Jhabua fabrication, Seoni automobile, Singrauli
process plant maintenance, Rampura electricals, Sagar process plant
maintenance, Shahdol electricals and Satna Centre of Excellence has
been assigned training in automobiles.
Besides, industrial training centres
of Balaghat, Baihar, Hoshangabad, Ujjain, Mangawa, Betul, Mandideep,
Khilchipur, Morena, Dhar, Deori, Anuppur and Pithampur have been
selected for up-gradation.
