London: A town in Southeast Brazil is renowned for its beautiful women and more importantly, women power.
Noiva do Cordeiro population comprises more than 600 attractive women, aged between 20 and 35, and they are in charge of every aspect of life and believe in a ‘no male’ police, reports mirror.co.uk.
The picturesque town is well organised and everyone lives harmoniously.
However, the only problem they now face is the lack of eligible bachelors, so much so young women appeal for interested men, but only those who are willing to live by their rules.
Although some women are married with families, their husbands are made to work far away from home and allowed to return only on weekends, the report adds. And sons are also sent away when they turn 18 years.
The practice began when a young woman and the next five generations of her family were excommunicated from the church after she was accused of adultery in 1891.
Other women who went to live with her also were shunned by the local population, causing them to isolate from the outside world.
Then in 1940, a pastor took one of the women, to be his wife and founded the church in the growing community. But he enforced strict rules on them.
So after his death in 1995, the women decided never again to let a man decide how they should live, the mirror reports.
