Mumbai: Math Talent Search Examination 2015 (MTSE), held every year to inculcate Mathematical understandings among kids, is scheduled to be conducted on February 8, 2015. The exam will be conducted between 9 am to 10:30 am.
Maths Talent Search Examination (MTSE) is a mathematics skill and mental ability based competitive examination for the students of Class III to IX, organised by Indian Institute for Studies in Mathematics.
Started in 2004, IISMA conduct this examination for the students to overcome the fear of Math and to test their understanding of mathematical concepts, so as to prepare them for competitive exams.
MTSE is an open examination and any student in class III to IX with ICSE, CBSE, IB or any state board is eligible to appear for MTSE.
The paper will consist of 50-objective questions, each will have four alternatives. These questions are to be answered in 90 minutes, on either an OMR answer sheet or online.
A correct answer is awarded two marks, whereas a wrong answer carries a penalty of 0.5 marks, except for classes III and IV.
Top 200 successful students from each batch will be awarded a certificate of merit and cash prizes worth more than Rs 3.5 lakh.
The application form can be filled online using IISMA's website http://iisma.com. Last date for all the students to register for MTSE 2015 is October 31, 2014.
