Kolkata: The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board (WBJEE) is set to declare online the results of JEEDEC-2016, held for admissions to various Degree Courses in Engineering, and JEHOM-2016, the joint entrance exam conducted for admissions to Hotel Management courses, today i.e. Wednesday June 08 on its official website.
Once declared, the results of JEEDEC 2016 and JEHOM 2016 will be available on "wbjeeb.in".
The JEEDEC is conducted every year for admission to 5-year B. E (Evening) Degree course in Civil, Electrical & Mechanical Engineering course of Jadavpur University whereas JEHOM is conduceted for those applicants who are seeking admission in AICTE approved UG course offered in Hotel Management across the state of West Bengal.
Conducted by the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board (WBJEE), JEEDEC 2016 and JEHOM 2016 both the tests were held on May 8, 2016. Both the tests were of Multiple Choice (MCQ) Objective type (four options including single correct answer). There is also negative marking for incorrect answers.
The West Bengal joint Entrance Examinations Board was formed as West Bengal Board of Examinations for Admission to Engineering Degree Colleges in the year 1962, born out of a concept of holding a common admission test for the Engineering colleges of the State of West Bengal.
The basic purpose was to select candidates for consideration for admission to the State Colleges on the basis of the results of a single competitive examination, which would also lead to saving of time, energy and expenditure on the part of the candidates in appearing at number of entrance tests.
The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board (WBJEE) declared The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEE) Engineering and Pharmacy stream examinations on June 05, 2016. The test was held on May 17.
