London:
Even as talks of her conversion to Islam is yet to settle down, Lindsay Lohan, the leading Hollywood star, came with another sensational snaps - this time sporting Burkini - the full body swimsuit normally worn by Muslim women.

In the number of photos taken last week in Phuket, Thailand and published by Lohan on Instagram, the 30-year-old actress was spotted wearing a Burkini from head to toe before she was seen paddle boarding.

According to her Instagram, Lindsay Lohan headed to Thailand for a week, after she had been in Dubai for a family visit.

The Hollywood actress of Irish and Italian heritage who was raised as a Catholic, was in the news in May 2015 when she was photographed carrying a copy of the Quran after her first day of community service in Brooklyn, New York.

She later explained that she was studying Islam and the Quran. She also said she had found peace in it, saying that no one can convert to a new religion overnight because "it is a matter of culture and practice".

The actress hit the headlines again in January 2017 when she changed her bio to two words: “Alaikum salam.” The phrase is an Islamic greeting in Arabic meaning: “Peace be unto you.”

The burkini was first designed by Aheda Zanetti in Australia for women who want to uphold modesty traditions.

The Australian designer Zanetti has said many non-Muslim women have bought the design, including Hindus, Christians and others. She said that about 40 percent of the customers are estimated to be non-Muslims.
