Raipur: Though the Chhattisgarh Board of Secondary Education (CGBSE) has not made any official announcement, wild speculations are on in the media that results of the CGBSE Class 12 or Higher Secondary Examinations 2017 will be declared on Friday i.e. April 21.
The question is: When the Chhattisgarh Board of Secondary Education (CGBSE) in itself has not announced any date to declare the CGBSE Class 12 resulst, what are the basis of these reports?
The only ground behind these reports are that the Chhattisgarh Board of Secondary Education (CGBSE) had declared the CG board Class 12 or Class XII results 2016 on April 21.
Going by this past record, it is speculated that this year too the Chhattisgarh Board of Secondary Education (CGBSE) might declare the Class 12 results on April 21.
Interestingly, IndiaResults.com, the partner portal of various state education boards including Chhattisgarh Board of Secondary Education (CGBSE), on Thursday reported that the CG board Class 10 or Matric results would be declared on Friday April 21.
It however says the Chhattisgarh Board of Secondary Education (CGBSE) is yet to announce any specific date to declare the CG Board Class 12 results.
Earlier reports had said that the CGBSE Class 12 results 2017 would be declared on Saturday April 22. However, in the absence of an official statement from the board, all these news are mere speculations.
The 2017 CG Board Class 12 exam was held from 14th February to 9th March. More than 2.7 lakh students had appeared for the important exam.
If declared, the CG Board Class 12 results will be online on the board's official as well as its associate websites. Students can follow the steps given as under to check their results.
How to check the results:
- Go to the official website: "cgbse.nic.in"
- Click on the link, 'Class 12 Results 2017'
- Enter your roll number
- After submitting the same, the results will be displayed on the screen
- Take a printout for future use
In 2016, overall pass percent of CG Board Class 12 was 73.43%. The pass percentage of girl students was 75.83% and that of boys was 71.19%. A total of 2,77,114 students had written the CG Board Class 12 exam in 2016.
Chhattisgarh Board of Secondary Education (CGBSE) is responsible for conducting the board exams in the state. The Chhattisgarh Board of Secondary Education conducts High School, Higher Secondary Board, Higher Secondary School (Occupational), Physical Training Diploma and D.Ed. certification exams.
CGBSE also advised and help government for the construction of the proposed curriculum and textbooks prescribed by the board. It also advises the government in framing the education policy of the state and it also runs different correspondence courses under its guidance.
