
New Delhi: The Central Board of Education (CBSE) has made the link active on its official website to download the Admit Card (Hall Ticket) for the UGC NET November 2017 examination today i.e. Tuesday October 17, 2017.
"The e-Admit Cards of candidates (who have paid the fees) have been uploaded on the NET website cbsenet.nic.in. The candidates are advised to download the e-admit card of UGC-NET(November)-2017 from the website", the CBSE said in a statement.
"In case any applicant is not able to download his/her e-Admit card, he/she may contact CBSEHelpline Nos.: 7042399520, 7042399521, 7042399525 and 7042399526, between (10.00 AM to 5.30 PM) on working days or email on net@cbse.gov.in mentioning full details/problems.
"The candidates may note that no e-Admit Card will be sent to them by post", it added.
"The candidates should download their admission cards from the website to ascertain their venue of the Test as mentioned in the Admission Card and appear in the examination only at the designated examination center. No candidate will be allowed to appear at the examination center other than that allotted to him/her in the admission card", the CBSE said.
Steps to download CBSE UGC NET Nov 2017 Admit Card
- Go to CBSE UGC NET official website by clicking here: "cbsenet.nic.in"
- Check for the tab marked with 'Download Admit Card'
- Click on the given tab and fill the required information
- The Admit Card after verification of details entered will be displayed on the screen
- Take a printout
- In case of any mistake, error ot misprinting, inform the CBSE
Examination for all three papers will be held on the same day i.e. Sunday November 05, 2017.
The exam will be conducted in 84 subjects in 90 cities across the country. According to examination schedule, the UGC NET November 2017 will have 03 papers/sessions. While the first and second papers will be of 100 marks each, the third paper will be of 150 marks.
The First paper will have 60 questions (50 questions to be attempted). It will be held from 09:30 am to 10:45 am.
The Second paper will have 50 questions (all are compulsory). It will be held from 11:15 am to 12:30 pm.
The Third paper will have 75 questions (all are compulsory). It will be held from 02:00 pm to 04:30 pm on Sunday November 05, 2017.
The CBSE conducts UGC National Eligibility Test (NET) two times in a year to determine the eligibility of candidates for the posts assistant professor and Junior Research Fellowship (JRF).
Candidates who qualify for the JRF are eligible to pursue research in the subject of their post-graduation or in a related subject and are also eligible to apply for the post of an assistant professor in Indian universities and colleges.
The award of JRF and eligibility for assistant professor’s post depends on the performance of the candidate in all the three papers of NET. However, candidates qualifying exclusively for an assistant professor are not considered for JRF.
Candidates who have scored at least 55% in their master’s degree are eligible for NET.
