JEE Advanced 2019 rescheduled due to LS Polls, Check new date

The entire JEE (Advanced) 2019 Examination will be conducted in fully computer based test mode

JEE Advanced 2019: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee on Tuesday rescheduled JEE Advanced 2019 earlier decided to be held on May 09 due to the 2019 Parliamentary Elections.

"In view of the clash in the dates of JEE (Advanced) 2019 and the last phase of General Elections 2019, the examination date of JEE (Advanced) 2019 has been shifted to May 27, 2019 (Monday)", Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee said in a message posted on its website.

"The examination will be held in India and abroad, on May 27, 2019 (Monday), in the following two shifts: Paper 1 (09:00 to 12:00 IST) and Paper 2 (14:00 to 17:00 IST)", it added.

"The entire JEE (Advanced) 2019 Examination will be conducted in fully computer based test mode", IIT R said.

A detailed notification containing JEE Advanced 2019 Syllabus, Eligibility Criteria, Age Limit, Last Date of Application, JEE Advanced 2019 Exam Schedule and other details will be released soon, the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee said Thursday.

"We are in the final stage of preparing the notification and JEE Advanced 2019 brochure. JEE Advanced 2019 detailed notification and brochure will be released any time by the end of this month or maximum by the first week of April", an IIT Roorkeee official said while talking to ummid.com.

Through JEE (Advanced), IITs offer admission into undergraduate courses leading to a Bachelor’s, Integrated Master’s or Bachelor-Master Dual Degree in Engineering, Sciences or Architecture. Both Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees are awarded to candidates enrolled in the dual degree programs upon successful completion of the course curriculum.

In some of the IITs, students enrolled into the 4-year Bachelor’s program have the option to pursue B.Tech. (Honors) and/or B.Tech. with Minors. Dual Degree students may also pursue a Minor. Further, in some IITs B. Tech. students also have the option to pursue Interdisciplinary Dual Degree, with Bachelors in parent Department and Masters in some other Department.
