Mumbai: The Haj Committee of India has released on its official website hajcommittee.gov.in the list of pilgrims selected from the Haj 2019 Waiting List. The list containes names of 5006 provisionally selected pilgrims who will get a chance to perform Haj in 2019.
Their Haj application will be confirmed once they submit the necessary documents along with the required payments made before due date.
"These Pilgrims are requested to deposit Rs.2,01,000/- each both Advance Haj Amount and First Balance Amount (i.e.Rs.81,000/- + Rs.1,20,000/-) by or before 5th April, 2019, failing which their Provisional Selection shall be deemed to have been cancelled", the Haj Committee of India said.
The Haj Committee of India said 5006 Haj seats have become available due to cancellations received from various states. "Out of the 5006 seats cancelled, 579 seats are from under Quota states", the Haj Committee of India said.
The names of 5006 pilgrims selected from the Haj 2019 waiting list are from 14 Indian states. They are: Chhattisgarh (24), Delhi (111), Gujarat (268), Haryana (39), Jammu & Kashmir (312), Karnataka (490), Kerala (630), Madhya Pradesh (155), Maharashtra (593), Rajasthan (149), Tamil Nadu (271), Telangana (308), Uttar Pradesh (1620) and Uttarakhand (36).
The Jammu and Kashmir Haj Committee and Uttar Pradesh Haj Committee have published the list of selected Haj pilgrims on their websites in PDF form. Pilgrims from other states can visit Haj Committee of India and check their status using Haj Cover Number.
Payments can be made either:
"After depositing the Haj amount, pilgrims must submit original valid machine readable International passport with one colour photograph attached to the back of passport with adhesive tape, pay-in-slip of the deposited amount along with Medical Screening and Fitness Certificate to the respective State Haj Committee on or before April 05, 2019", the Haj Committee of India said.
"Third installment will be decided after finalization of tender for Airfare amount in Dollars, Saudi expenses in Saudi Riyal and will be payable from Mid-May to Mid-June. The details of expenditure for Haj-2019 for respective Embarkation and Accommodation Category will be displayed on the Haj Committee of India website", the apex body controlling the Hajj affairs in India said.
"The Unique Bank Reference Number provided to each Cover must be mentioned in the Remittance Receipt", the Haj Committee of India said.
Haj pilgrims should note that the Hajj 2019 Flight Schedule from all embarkation points will be released by the Haj Committee of India only after the process of the Haj Qurrah is completed by all states. However, according to Haj Action Plan 2019, the first outbound flight for Haj 2019 will depart from India on July 01, 2019. The last outbound Haj 2019 flight will be on August 03, 2019. The first inbound Haj flight from Saudi Arabia to India will be on August 14, 2019.
Coinciding with Eid al Adha, Haj is the annual ritual to commemorate the sacrifices made by Prophet Ibrahim, his wife Hager and their son Prophet Ismael. The likely date of Wuqoof e Arafat - the key ritual of the Hajj, is August 09 or 10. As the Islamic calendar is based on sighting of moon, the final date will be decided once the new moon of the month of Dhul Hijjah is sighted.
