Uttar Pradesh Haj Committee releases names of 1618 applicants of Haj 2019 waiting list

The third installment of payment will be decided after finalization of tender for Airfare amount

Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh State Haj Committee Saturday released on its website uphajcommittee.com the names of 1618 applicants from the Haj 2019 waiting list provisionally selected for Haj this year.

The 30-page list contains the cover numbers of 311 applicants from Uttar Pradesh. Each cover number has 01, 02, 03 and in some cases 04 pilgrims. Names of the pilgrims selected from the Uttar Pradesh State Haj Committee waiting list can be accessed in PDF by clicking here: UP State Haj Pilgrims Selected from 2019 Waiting List.

"These Pilgrims are requested to deposit Rs.2,01,000/- each both Advance Haj Amount and First Balance Amount (i.e.Rs.81,000/- + Rs.1,20,000/-) by or before 5th April, 2019, failing which their Provisional Selection shall be deemed to have been cancelled", the Haj Committee of India said.

"Third installment will be decided after finalization of tender for Airfare amount in Dollars, Saudi expenses in Saudi Riyal and will be payable from Mid-May to Mid-June. The details of expenditure for Haj-2019 for respective Embarkation and Accommodation Category will be displayed on the Haj Committee of India website", the apex body controlling the Hajj affairs in India said.

"The Unique Bank Reference Number provided to each Cover must be mentioned in the Remittance Receipt", the Haj Committee of India said.

How to make Haj 2019 First Balance Amount Payment

Payments can be made either:

Online Mode through Haj Committee of India website: hajcommittee.gov.in
Directly to Haj Committee of India account No. 32175020010 FEE TYPE-25
maintained with SBI; or account No. 318702010406009 (Haj Account) maintained with UBI through any branch of SBl/UBI having core Banking System.
By cheque of any branch of SBI/UBI in the respective Bank.

How to check Unique Bank Reference Number

Selected pilgrims whose names figured in the final list drawn after the Qurrah can check Unique Bank Reference Number by following the steps given below:

Go to Haj Committee of India website by clicking here: hajcommittee.gov.in .
Brwose to the bottom of home page and look for the area similar to the one shown below
Enter your Cover No in the box. Your Cover No should start with your state code.
Click on the Down Arraow from 'Select State' menu and select your state.
Enter Passport No in the box.
Click on "Load" button.
All relevant details along with Unique Bank Reference Number will appear on the computer or mobile phone screen.

The Haj Committee of India has also made important changes in the Medical Fitness and Screening criteria regarding chest x-ray and blood report.

Haj pilgrims should note that the Hajj 2019 Flight Schedule from all embarkation points will be released by the Haj Committee of India only after the process of the Haj Qurrah is completed by all states. However, according to Haj Action Plan 2019, the first outbound flight for Haj 2019 will depart from India on July 01, 2019. The last outbound Haj 2019 flight will be on August 03, 2019. The first inbound Haj flight from Saudi Arabia to India will be on August 14, 2019.

Coinciding with Eid al Adha, Haj is the annual ritual to commemorate the sacrifices made by Prophet Ibrahim, his wife Hager and their son Prophet Ismael. The likely date of Wuqoof e Arafat - the key ritual of the Hajj, is August 09 or 10. As the Islamic calendar is based on sighting of moon, the final date will be decided once the new moon of the month of Dhul Hijjah is sighted.
