AIMIM Malegaon President among 03 Tadipaar ahead of 2019 LS Polls

Along with Abdul Malik, Abdul Majid and Mohammad Shakeel Ahmed have also been externed from the city limits

Malegaon: Abdul Malik, President of the All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) Malegaon unit, has been externed (tadipaar) from Malegaon jurisdiction, local official said.

Action against Abdul Malik has been taken under section 144 of Code Of Criminal Procedure (CrPC), Malegaon Prant Officer and Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Vijay Anand Sharma told local reporters.

An order under section 144 of Code Of Criminal Procedure (CrPC) may be directed to a particular individual, or to persons residing in a particular place or area, or to the public generally when frequenting or visiting a particular place or area.

Along with Abdul Malik, Abdul Majid and Mohammad Shakeel Ahmed have also been externed from Malegaon. Abdul Majid is Abdul Malik's younger brother and MIM member in Malegaon Municipal Corporation (MMC).

Abdul Malik and Abdul Majid are sons of Yunus Isa - popularly known in the city and around as Yunus dada.

Abdul Malik had contested the 2014 Maharashtra Assembly election from Malegaon as MIM candidate. Asif Shaih Rasheed of Congress had won that election.

Along with Abdul Malik, Abdul Majid and Shakeel, Malegaon SDM has also externed 09 others. While MIM Malegaon President and his brother have been externed for a month, the 09 others have been prevented from entry into Malegaon city limit for one year.

The action against all the 11 has been taken in view of the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, the SDM said.

Polling in Malegaon for the 2019 Parliament election will be held on April 29, 2019. Result will be declared on May 23, 2019. The Dhule-Malegaon Parliamentary seat is currently represented by dr Subhash Bhamre MoS Defence. Bhamre is seeking re-election from the seat. He has been challenged by Kunal Baba Patil of Congress.
