Medford (Oregon): Local police is investigating if the deaths of at least 10 patients at Asante Rogue Regional Medical Center in Medford two days ago is a case of drug diversion.
Local media citing families of the deceased patients reported that a nurse at the hospital allegedly swapped fentanyl intravenous (IV) drips with tap water resulting in the deaths of the patients.

Talking to media at least two family members said that Asante Rogue Regional Medical Center officials notified them that the deaths of thier relatives - one of them 36-year-old combat veteran and the other a retired transportation planner for the Southern California Association of Governments,
were because of infections from their pain medication being replaced with non-sterile tap water.

The hospital made numerous public statements during 2023 pertaining to infections and water quality issues.
