IIMC invites applications for 5 PG Diploma in Journalism Courses for 2024

New Delhi: The Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC) has invited applications for admission in five different PG Diploma in Journalism courses for the year 2024-25 to be done through CUET PG Entrance Exam.

In a notification released Thursday January 04, 2024, the IIMC said aspiring candidates can log-in to CUET official website and fill the online application.

“The last date of application is January 24, 2024”, the Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC) said in the admission notification.

List of IIMC Journalism Courses

The PG Diploma in Journalism courses for which the IIMC is seeking applications are:

1. PG Diploma in Journalism – English
2. PG Diploma in Journalism – Hindi
3. PG Diploma in TV and Radio Journalism – Bilingual (Hindi and English)
4. PG Diploma in Advertising and Public Relations Bilingual (Hindi and English)
5. PG Diploma in Digital Media.

The candidates who wish to take admission in IIMC PG Diploma Courses are required to clear CUET-PG Entrance Exam conducted by the National Testing Agency.

The Online application for admission in IIMC Journalism Courses can be filled through the CUET website cuet.nta.nic.in.

Eligibility Criteria and Age Limit

Candidates with a Bachelor's Degree awarded by a recognised university are eligible to apply for the programme.

Students who have appeared/are appearing for final year/semester examination of their Bachelor's degree are also eligible to apply. These students will have to produce provisional marksheet/certificate in original from their college/university latest by September 30, 2024.

The Journalism Diploma will be awarded to the candidates after completion of the course only when they submit the Original Degree Certificate.

• The maximum age limit of the candidate belonging to the General Category students should be 25 years of age.
• For the OBC category, date of birth should be 28 years as on August 2024.
• For SC/ST/PwD candidates, the date of birth should be maximum 30 years.

Candidates should note that IIMC's courses have been bunched under the 'Common' category in the CUET (PG) information booklet and the question paper code is COQP17.
