Dubai, Bali named Tripadvisor's 'World's Top Destinations 2024'

Needham (Massachusetts): Dubai has retained the No 1 spot for the third consecutive years in the 2024 TripAdvisor ‘Travellers’ Choice Awards Best of the Best winners’ and remains World’s No1 Top Destinations followed by Bali and London.

The Travellers’ Choice Awards Best of the Best winners are destinations whose hotels, restaurants and things to do received a high volume of above-and-beyond reviews and opinions from our community over a 12-month period.

Less than 1% of TripAdvisor’s 8 million listings are awarded Best of the Best, signifying the highest level of excellence in travel.

“Dubai is a destination that mixes modern culture with history, adventure with world-class shopping and entertainment”, the TripAdvisor said Tuesday January 09, 2024.

“Catch a show at the Dubai Opera, see downtown from atop the Burj Khalifa and spend an afternoon along Dubai Creek exploring the gold, textile and spice souks. If you’re looking for thrills, you can float above the desert dunes in a hot air balloon, climb aboard a high-speed ride at IMG Worlds of Adventure or skydive over the Palm Jumeirah”, the world's largest travel guidance platform said.

Placing Bali at the 2nd position in the listing, TripAdvisor said:

“Bali is a living postcard, an Indonesian paradise that feels like a fantasy. Soak up the sun on a stretch of fine white sand, or commune with the tropical creatures as you dive along coral ridges or the colorful wreck of a WWII war ship.”

“On shore, the lush jungle shelters stone temples and mischievous monkeys. The “artistic capital” of Ubud is the perfect place to see a cultural dance performance, take a batik or silver-smithing workshop, or invigorate your mind and body in a yoga class”, it said.

Introducing London as the 3rd Best Travellers Destination in the world, TripAdvisor wrote:

"From Shoreditch’s swaggering style to Camden’s punky vibe and chic Portobello Road, London is many worlds in one. The city’s energy means that no two days are the same. Explore royal or historic sites, tick off landmarks from your bucket list, eat and drink in exclusive Michelin-starred restaurants, enjoy a pint in a traditional pub, or get lost down winding cobbled streets and see what you stumble across – when it comes to London, the possibilities are endless."

"The best Honeymoon Destination"

Bali however has outclassed Dubai as the best Honeymoon Destination in the World.

Bali is followed by Hoi An in Vietnam, Maldives, Dominican Republic, Mauritius, Khao Lak in Thailand, Jamaica, Santorini in Greece, Zanzibar Island in Tanzania and Venice in Italy in the list of Top 10 Best Destinations for Honeymoon.

Kathmandu in Nepal, Halong Bay in Vietnam and Hurghada in Egypt are TripAdvisor's best Nature Destinations - World.

The TripAdvisor has put Agra in India on the third place in the top 10 best Culture Destinations of the World. Cuba and Cusco in Peru are top two in this list.

"Asia dominates Trending Destinations list globally for 2024 whereas the American South highly favored on the Food Destinations U.S. list: New Orleans ranks No. 1 a second time; six of top 10 culinary cities are in the South", the TripAdvisor said.
