New Delhi: Maulana Mahmood Asa’d Madani, President of Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind Thursday condemned the recent incidents of mob violence in Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh, and Raipur, Chhattisgarh.

Emphasizing that the barbaric acts like mob lynching have no place in any civilized society, Mahmood Madani called for strict and immediate action against the perpetrators to ensure justice and reiterated the government's responsibility to protect the lives and property of all citizens.

In a statement following the tragic incident in Aligarh, where 35-year-old Farid, alias Aurangzeb, was brutally attacked by a mob while returning home, Maulana Madani expressed deep sorrow and anger.

Despite the prompt intervention by the police, Farid sustained serious injuries and was rushed to Malkhan Singh Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
Six individuals have been arrested based on CCTV footage so far.

Maulana Madani urged the Uttar Pradesh government to expedite the investigation and ensure that all those involved are brought to justice without delay.

Maulana Madani also called for necessary assistance and reasonable compensation for the victim's family.

He appealed to all communities to remain calm and seek justice through legal measures, emphasizing the importance of upholding the principles of justice and peace to prevent such incidents from dividing the country and its people.

In the wake of this tragic event, a delegation from Jamiat district unit, along with other civil organisations, met with the victim's family to offer condolences and express solidarity.

Under the chairmanship of Jamiat Ulama Aligarh President Mufti Akbar Qasmi, a meeting was held to review the situation and a five-member committee was formed to oversee the case and ensure that the perpetrators are brought to justice.

The delegation included Maulana Khalid Qasmi, Maulana Riaz, Omar Bhai, Hafiz Umair, Hafiz Aslam, and Haji Omar.
