And, the crowd that waited for Rahul for hours despite observing Ramadan fast in the scorching heat was not disappointed when the Gandhi Scion gave the much needed Muslim touch to his 66-day Manipur to Mumbai yatra spanning 15 states and covering over 6,700 kms.

After extending Ramadan greetings, Rahul quickly turned to the problems faced by the textiles and powerlooms - another issues close to the heart of the local people.
“The local textile industry is dying because of the Narendra Modi government’s anti-poor policies. The government is devising all its policies to help few of its corporate friends”, he said.
“The government imposed GST and announced demonization which resulted in the collapse of the Textile Industry, and other small and medium groups”, he said.
“Your livelihood is being targeted so as to make these corporate honchos flourish”, Rahul Gandhi said.
“Let our government come to power again, we will re-start all subsidies and support measures for the Textile Industry that were started by our government but Modi stopped them to help his friend Adani”, Rahul said as the crowd went berserk.
“The weavers are also suffering because of the skyrocketing Electricity Tariff. Our government will put a stop on this and ensure subsidized power supply”, he said.
The Ramadan greeting and weavers' related issues also gave some peace to the critics who accused the Congress and Rahul of ignoring the Muslims in his speeches.
Rahul Gandhi reached Malegaon from Dhule. He was supposed to arrive in the Textile City at 04:00 pm. He was however 1 hour behind the schedule.
Rahul Gandhi also reiterated the Congress’ commitment to transfer 1 lakh rupees in the accounts of the women of the country.
In his signature style, Rahul called a small girl aboard his open jeep, gave her the microphone and asked her to repeat with him.
“If Modi can give crores of rupees to his corporate friends. If Modi can waive off crores of rupees taken by his friends in loans. We can of course also help women folk of the country with a fund of 1 lakh rupees which will be transferred to their accounts directly”, Rahul said and the local girl repeated with him.
Before reiterating the promise he had made in Dhule few hours ago, Rahul said he saw a very few women coming here.
The crowd however asked him to look above where hundreds of women were standing on each floors of the multi-storey Apna Shopping Market of the busy Old Agra Road.
A huge number of people were also standing on the two sides of the Old Agra Road who greeted Rahul Gandhi's speech with frequent cheers.
In his speech at Malegaon, Rahul Gandhi accused the Modi government of trying to change the constitution.
“You must have hear one of the BJP MP vowing to change the Constitution. It is the BJP style. It asks someone to raise the controversial issues and then see the reaction", Rahul said.
"But I am telling you today. Who is Narendra Modi, no power in the world can change the Constitution of India”, he added.
During his speech, Rahul also spoke about the rampant unemployment, government jobs, Agniveer Yojna and Agnipath Scheme, Electronic Voting Machine (EVM), the recent resignation of Election Commissioner Arun Goel and othe policy matters.
