San Francisco: Tech giant Microsoft Thursday March 14, 2024 made globally available Copilot Pro which is billed as the premium tier of the company's Artificial Intelligence (AI) Platform.
Microsoft had launched Copilot Pro in January 2024 for select users including those in the United States. While launching Copilot Pro, the tech giant had bundled access of AI in Microsoft 365 web apps.
Simultaneously, Windows updates released in January 2024 also had the automatic opening of Copilot in some devices running on Windows 11.
The global availability of Copilot Pro means the fast becoming popular AI app is now available in 222 countries including India.
India users should note that Microsoft Copilot Pro has been made available in the country at a price of INR 2,000 per user per month.
Individual users will have to pay the base price whereas businesses will have to pay the cumulative amount for all the users they want to make the AI tool available to. The platform will be available on the web, as well as on iOS and Android.
Individual and corporate users should also note that Microsoft has also made available a Free Version also.
Copilot Pro is for one person. Users having Microsoft 365 Family subscription and shared subscription with other people, then each user will need to buy their own Copilot Pro subscription to use Copilot in the Microsoft 365 apps.
Copilot Pro is a subscription that offers accelerated Copilot performance, faster AI image creation, the ability to create your own Copilot GPTs and access to Copilot in Word, Excel (Preview), PowerPoint, Outlook (Microsoft email address required) and OneNote.

Copilot was originally launched in June 2023 as a stand-alone AI tool. Microsoft later integrated it in Windows 11, and to make it popular, the tech giant redesigned the Windows Keyboard for the first time since 1990 to add ‘Copilot Key’.
