Maharashtra 12th Result 2024 Announced: The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) has declared the result of the Higher Secondary School (HSC) Class 12th 2024 board exams held in the month of February/March today i.e. Tuesday May 21, 2024.
The Maharashtra board said a girl student from Aurangabad (Sambhaji Nagar) has scored 100% marks i.e. 600 out of 600 and is the state topper. The board however did not disclose her identity.
The board said the Aurangabad student bagged an impressive total of 582 marks in theory and practical, and received 18 marks as grace points in sports to make her total a perfect 600 out of 600 overall.
The board did not publish the 12th Merit List but said as many as 8,782 students from different districts of the state registered exceptional academic performance by scoring above 90% marks.
In another exception show of academic performance, students have scored a perfect 100% marks in 26 subjects.
The Maharashtra board declared 12th Art, Science and Commerce stream results in a press conference today at 11:00 am addressed by the state board officials.
Students however will be able to check their result at 01:00 PM by following the direct link given below.
The Maharashtra state has registered an overall pass percentage of 93.37% in the 2024 HSC 12th board exam. This is an improvement by more than 02% as compared to 2023 when the pass percentage was 91.25%.
A total of 14,23,970 students from differnet districts of Maharashtra had appeared for the 2024 HSC board exams held at more than 3,000 centres. Of them, a total of 13,29,684 have been declared pass.
Girls once again outshined boys with a pass percentage of 95.44 as compared to boys who recorded a pass percentage of 91.60.
The passing per cent of the physically challenged students is 94 per cent.
As many as 20,000 students have been rewarded for Extracurricular Excellence.
The board did not release the 12 toppers list (merit list). However it published the detailed result giving list of best and worst performing divisions and districts.
Konkan division has topped among the nine divisions of Maharashtra State Board in the Maharashtra HSC Class 12 results announced today. 97.51% students have passed from the Konkan division.
Mumbai division has registered the lowest pass percentage, according to the 12th result data of the year 2024 released by the state board Tuesday.
Once declared Maharashtra HSC 12th result 2024 of Science, Commerce and Art, all three streams, will be available on official website mahresult.nic.in, and a number of other websites including hsc.mahresults.org.in, hscresult.mkcl.org and others.

Maharashtra students can also request their result through SMS. For this, they are required to type MHHSC followed by <seat no> on their mobile phones and send to: 57766. The Printed Marksheet will be given to students later on at the respective schools.
The Maharashtra State Education Board also said students who are not satisfied with the result can ask for marks verification and answer sheets by filling online application form May 22 to June 06, 2024.
The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary & Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) is divided in nine Divisional Boards located in Pune, Mumbai, Nashik, Aurangabad, Kolhapur, Latur, Nagpu, Amravati and Ratnagiri. The Maharashtra board declares the 12th results of all the nine dvisional boards on the same day and at the same time.
In 2023, the Maharashtra board had recorded a pass percentage of 91.25% - a decrease by about 3% as compared to 2022 when the 12th HSC Pass Percentage was 94.22%.
In 2022, the Maharashtra state had recorded a pass percentage of 94.22% - a decrease by 5.41% as compared to last year when the 12th HSC Pass Percentage was 99.63%.
The board had recorded overall pass percentage of 99.63 in 2021 HSC board exam that was cancelled due to Covid 19 and result was prepared on internal assessment.
In 2020, the Maharashtra board had recorded 90.66 overall pass percentage. On the other hand in 2019, the Maharashtra state had recorded a pass percentage of 85.88% - a drop by around 03% as compared to 2018 when the 12th HSC Pass Percentage was 88.41%.
