Hajj 2025 Live: After performing the key ritual of Hajj i.e. Standing in the Plains of Arafat on the Day of Arafah, the pilgrims have now started arriving in Muzdalifah.
In Muzdalifah, the pilgrims will combine the Maghrib and Isha prayers - three rakah of Maghrib and two rakah of Isah.
They will now require to spend the night in Muzadlifah before proceeding to Mina aftr Fajr prayers on Eid al Adha, Youm un Nahr on 10th of Dhul Hijjah Friday June 06, 2025.
Earlier, the essence of Islamic brotherhood was in its full display in Arafat where Muslims from all across the world - of different colors, ethnicities, and countries, stood in unison.
The General Statistics (GASTAT) Saudi Arabia, meanwhile, released the tentative figures of the pilgrims who were present in Arafat and performed Hajj on Thursday.
The GASTA said a total of 1,673,230 pilgrims – including 166,654 domestic and 1,506,576 foreign pilgrims, were in Arafat on the Day of Arafah.
Of the total 1,673,230 pilgrims who performed Hajj this year, 877,841 were male and 795,389 were female, the GASTAT said.
Majority of the pilgrims - 1,435,017 arrived by air, 66,465 arrived by road and 5,094 arrived by sea.

12:50 PM Thursday: Imam e Haram Sheikh Saleh al Humaid is now delivering the Hajj Sermon from Masjid Namirah.
In the Hajj Sermon, Sheikh Saleh explained in details about the 5 pillars of Islam. He concluded the Khutbah with prayers for all, especially the Palestinians currently facing the hardship at the hands of Israelis in Gaza.
Sheik Saleh wrapped up the Khutbah at 12:40 PM local time. After that the Mua'zzin raised the adhan for Zuhr prayers. After offering two rakah of Zuhr prayers, the Imam led two rakah of Asr.
Pilgrims offer shortened Zuhr and Asr prayers in Arafat, with a single Adhan and two Aqamah, as per the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him).

08:00 AM Thursday: After spending the night in Mina, pilgrims are now on their way to Arafat for the key ritual of Hajj - the annual pilgrimage to Makkah.
Arafat stands as one of the most significant sacred sites and the foremost pillar of Hajj, without which the pilgrimage is invalid. Located about 18 kilometers from the Grand Mosque in Makkah, 10 kilometers from Mina, and 6 kilometers from Muzdalifah, the Plain of Arafat spans roughly five square kilometers, accordig to Saudi Press Agency.
As Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said, “Hajj is Arafah", today, on the 9th of Dhu Al-Hijjah, pilgrims will gather in this sacred location in a majestic display of faith and devotion, uniting their hearts and souls in worship of Allah Almighty.
In Arafat, the pilgrims will offer shortened Zuhr and Asr along with listening to Hajj Sermon. They will then leave for Muzdalifah before the sun set. Pilgrims should note they are required to offer Maghrib prayers in Muzdalifah.
09:00 PM Wednesday: Mina, The Tent City reverberated with chants of Talbiyah – Labbaik Allahumma Labbaik… as over 2 million pilgrims, including around 1.5 million from different countries in the world, camped in the Tent City on the first day of annual Hajj Wednesday Dhul Hijjah 1446 AH corresponding to June 04, 2025.
After spending the day and night at Mina the pilgrims will move to the Plains of Arafat Thursday June 05, 2025.
Standing on the Plains of Arafat is the key ritual of Hajj.
In Arafat, the pilgrims will spend the day in prayers and supplications. They will also listen to Arafat sermon delivered by Imam e Haram Sheikh Saleh al Humaid. The Hajj sermon Thursday will be streamed live in 34 languages.
03:00 PM Wednesday: Chanting Talbiyah - Labbaik Allahumma Labbaik, Pilgrims have begun arriving this morning in Mina to spend the Day of Tarwiyah, Dhu Al-Hijjah 8 1446 AH.
This holy site, surrounded by mountains and exclusively inhabited during the Hajj season, is renowned for its historical landmarks, including the three Jamarat pillars and the significant Al-Khayf Mosque, where Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and previous prophets prayed.
Saudi Arabia prioritizes Mina, recognizing the time pilgrims spend there. It provides extensive security, medical, food, and transportation services to ensure pilgrims' comfort and enable them to perform their rituals with ease and tranquility, Saudi Press Agency reported.
Meanwhile, Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has advised Hujjaj to remain in their camps away from direct sun between 10:00 AM and 04:00 PM today and tomorrow to avoid heat related incidents.
More than 700,000 pilgrims from different countries of the world have already arrived in the Tent City, and more are on their way.

09:00 AM Wednesday: Covered in two white sheets and chanting Labbaik Allahumma Labbaik (Here I am O Allah, Here I am), over 2 million Muslims from around the world proceed to Mina Wednesday June 04, 2025 as the annual Hajj begins.
Before marching to Mina - The Tent City, the Pilgrims visited the Grand Mosque in Makkah to perform Tawaf Al-Qudum (Tawaf of Arrival).
Hajj is one of the five pillars of Islam. It is performed annually to commemorate Prophet Ibrahim, his wife Hager and their noble son Prophet Ismael (May peace be upon all of them).
The annual pilgrimage to Makkah begins on 8th of Dhul Hijjah - the last month of the Islamic Calendar, when pilgrims march to Mina for a night stay.
On Thursday June 05, 2025 - Youme Arafah, after Fajr - morning prayers, pilgrims will proceed to Arafat. Standing on the Plains of Arafat is the most important ritual of Hajj.
1. Hajj begins with pilgrims wearing ahram – two plain white sheets, and chanting Talbiyah (Labbaik) proceeding to Mina – around 10 kms from Makkah on 8th day of Dhul Hjjah - the first day of Hajj called The Day of Tarwiyah.

2. After Fajr prayers in Mina, pilgrims will proceed to the Plains of Arafat. Standing on the Plains of Arafat on 9th of Dhul Hijjah - Youme Arafah or Hajj Day, is the key ritual of Hajj. Pilgrims are required to be at Arafat till sun set.
3. At Arafat, Pilgrims combine Zuhr and Asr prayers , and also listen to the Hajj Sermon (Hajj Khutbah) from Masjid Namirah. Imam e Haram Sheikh Saleh al Humaid has been appointed as Khateeb of Hajj 1446 AH.
4. Close to sunset on 9th of Dhul Hijjah, the pilgrims will leave for Muzdalifah. Pilgrims should note that they will have to offer Maghrib prayers in Muzdalifah, and not in Arafat.
5. After spending the night in Muzdailfah, pilgrims will in the morning on 10th of Dhul Hijjah proceed to Mina again for stoning of devil and to sacrifice animals. 10th of Dhul Hijjah also marks Eid al Adha. It is also called Youm un Nahr.
6. After sacrificing animals, pilgrims will have to go to Makkah and perform Tawaf - circulate the Kaaba seven times (Tawaf e Ziyarat or Ziarah), and then Sa’y between hills of Safa and Marwa. They then drink from Zam-zam well and return to Mina.
7. They will remain in Mina for the next 2 or 3 days, perform stoning of devil again and then return to Masjis Haram in Makkah for Farewell Tawaf. This makes the end of Hajj.
Meanwhile, the Saudi Arabia Railways (SAR) has announced the full operational readiness of the Mashaer Metro Train for the 1446 AH Hajj season starting from Tuesday morning, Dhul Al-Hijjah 7.
SAR has completed its preparations in coordination with various relevant entities, particularly security and service authorities.
Comprehensive operational preparation included nearly 12,000 trial trips since last January, in addition to four full-scale simulation exercises accurately replicating the conditions of the Hajj season to test the readiness of systems, trains, and stations and ensure safe and efficient operations, according to the government owned Saudi Press Agency.
The Mashaer Metro Train operates on five distinct service patterns tailored to the different Hajj rituals, making it a unique transport system globally.
During the Hajj season, the train is scheduled to carry out more than 2,000 trips, aiming to transport over two million passengers with high efficiency and precise organization within those five operational patterns, the SPA said.
