Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh (UP) Class 10 board exam results are scheduled to be released tomorrow, i.e. May 30, at 12:30 pm. The exam was conducted by UPMSP in the month of March.

The UP Board Class 10 exams began on March 3, 2014 and ended on March 21, 2014 with 14 exam dates. The exams were held in two shifts, the first shift was from 7:30 am to10:45 pm while the second shift was from 2:00 pm to 5:15 pm.
The UP class 10th board exams kicked off with Hindi as the subject of examination and came to an end with Drawing/ Home Science as the last subject of exam.
This year 59, 254 students appeared for the class 10th, out of which 30,368 were boys and 28,886 were girls. In comparison to the 2013 UP Board exams, almost 9.5 per cent increase in students attempting class 10 and class 12 exams was witnessed this year.
The results for UP Board class 12th exams 2014 were declared on May 25. The results recorded the girls score a higher pass percentage than the boys.
The overall pass percentage this year for a total of 30.48 lakh students who had appeared in the examinations was 92.21, a drop of 0.47 per cent from the previous year. Around 28.10 lakh of them secured the required pass marks, said state Director of Secondary Education and Chairperson of Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad Shail Kumari Yadav.
Nevertheless, the pass percentage of girls (95.31) remained significantly higher than that of the boys (89.81), in keeping with a trend that has been discernible for past few years now.
