Sareshwala shown door after Asaduddin Owaisi walkout from Muslim panel meet
Tuesday March 24, 2015 7:53 PM, & Agencies

Zafar Sareshwala was forced to leave the All India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB) Jaipur executive body meet Sunday after All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (MIM) Chief and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi staged an angry walk-out saying he can't share stage with the person who had 'abused' the panel members.

According to the sources present in the meet, there was ruckus as soon as Zafar Sareshwala arrived at the venue allegedly without invitation. Asaduddin Owaisi, fellow MP Mohammad Adeeb and few other board members objected saying how a person who is not the member of the Muslim panel is present in the meet meant only for members.

"What a person, who is not the member of the board, and who only a few days ago abused and insulted the board members, is doing here", Asaduddin Owaisi protested and walked out from the stage.

Following Owaisi's angry protest, an announcement was made for those who were not the invitee or members of the board to leave the place. After the announcement, which did not mention anyone's name, Sareshwala left the venue.

Simultaneously, few members rushed to Owaisi and requested him to be back on the stage.

Zafar Sareshwala was recently in news when he claimed that several Muslim bodies including the All India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB) have lost their relevance and with the exception of board president Rabey Hasan Nadavi, all are fools.

"In AIMPLB, except its president Maulana Rabey Hasan Nadwi, rest all are fools. I feel that Muslim bodies like AIMPLB have no vision. They have failed to prioritise their issues," Sareshwala was quited by The Indian Express.

"There are other bodies like the Muslim Majlis Mushawarrat which became defunct in 1964, but still its dead body is being carried on by some Muslim leaders. It is stinking now. Another is Milli Council. These are all redundant", he said.

Meanwhile, angry over his 'unceremonial' ouster from the board's meet, Sareshwala hit out saying AIMPLB members did not want to disappoint their political masters.

Clarifying his stand on the allegation that he went uninvited in the meeting to broaden Modi’s propaganda, Sareshwala said that he only went there to meet someone in there and did not have any political intention.
