Varanasi: Days after Banaras Hindu University (BHU) erupted in protest against molestation of a girl student, a second-year MA student has alleged that she was molested and thrashed on the campus premises on Thursday.
Immediately after the incident, the student complained to the university guards, who nabbed the accused student and handed him over to the police.
The student in her complaint to the Proctorial Board said that while she was going to the chamber of a professor in Faculty of Science, a student of MA (Public Administration) caught her.
The girl student said the accused beat her and also damaged her cell phone.
Earlier, on September 21 a student of Arts faculty had alleged that she was groped inside the campus while she was returning to her hostel.
