Haj 2019 First Balance Amount Payment: The Haj Committee of India on Wednesday extended the last date to make the First Balance Amount Payment (also called as First Installament Amount Payment) till April 05, 2019.
"The last date for remittance of First Balance Amount @ Rs.1,20,000/- each by the provisionally selected pilgrims of Haj-2019 is hereby extended upto 5th April, 2019", the Haj Committee of India said in a staement signed by its CEO Dr. Maqsood Ahmed Khan.
The Haj Committee of India had earlier fixed the last date to deposit the First Balance Amount of Rs. l,20,0001/- each as March 20, 2019. The last date to make the payment has now been extended.
The Hajj Committee of India has not cited any reason for extending the last date to make the First Balance Amount Payment (also called as First Installament Amount Payment).
The Hajj Committee of India had earlier also extended the last date to make the payment of Advance Haj amount @ Rs.81,000/- per pilgrim from February 05 to February 15, 2019.
"Third installment will be decided after finalization of tender for Airfare amount in Dollars, Saudi expenses in Saudi Riyal and will be payable from Mid-May to Mid-June. The details of expenditure for Haj-2019 for respective Embarkation and Accommodation Category will be displayed on the Haj Committee of India website", the apex body controlling the Hajj affairs in India said.
"The Unique Bank Reference Number provided to each Cover must be mentioned in the Remittance Receipt", the Haj Committee of India said.

The Haj Committee of India has also made important changes in the Medical Fitness and Screening criteria regarding chest x-ray and blood report.
"The Haj Committee of Indis in its meeting held on January 27, 2019 has decided that, instead of submitting Chest X-ray report and Blood report the pilgrims may submit Medical Screening and Fitness Certificate from registered Medical Practioners MBBS/Government Doctor as per past practice", the apex body managing the Hajj affairs in India said.
Meanwhile, all the state Haj committees including Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Kerala, Telangana, Jammu and Kashimr, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan have completed Qurrah as per the schedule announced by the Central Haj Committee.
Names of some pilgrims in various states have also been included in the Haj Waiting List. Such pilgrims in the waiting list will get a chance if any selected pilgrims opts out. The Haj Committee of India will release the flight schedule after the finalisation of Haj pilgrims list.
Haj pilgrims should note that the Hajj 2019 Flight Schedule from all embarkation points will be released by the Haj Committee of India only after the process of the Haj Qurrah is completed by all states. However, according to Haj Action Plan 2019, the first outbound flight for Haj 2019 will depart from India on July 01, 2019. The last outbound Haj 2019 flight will be on August 03, 2019. The first inbound Haj flight from Saudi Arabia to India will be on August 14, 2019.
Coinciding with Eid al Adha, Haj is the annual ritual to commemorate the sacrifices made by Prophet Ibrahim, his wife Hager and their son Prophet Ismael. The likely date of Wuqoof e Arafat - the key ritual of the Hajj, is August 09 or 10. As the Islamic calendar is based on sighting of moon, the final date will be decided once the new moon of the month of Dhul Hijjah is sighted.
