CTET July 2020: The Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) July 2020 has been postponed till Covid-19 pandemic is eased, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) said in an official notification released today.
The CBSE in an official notification said it will announce the new date of Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) when the "situation is more conductive" for the exam.
"The 14th edition of Central Teachers Eligibility Test (CTET) July 2020, scheduled to be held on 05/07/2020, is postponed", the CBSE notification dated June 25, 2020 said.
"The next date of examination will be intimated when situation is more conductive for holding the exam", it added.
Wild speculations over Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) which is conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) were on after the board delayed the release of the Admit Card for the July 2020 exams.
The CBSE normally releases the CTET Admit Card 12-15 days before the exam. The delay in the release of the CTET Admit Card gave rise to the speculations that the CTET 2020 will also be postponed and rescheduled to some later date.
The CBSE notification to postpone CTET 2020 came hours after it cancelled the Class 12th and 10th board exams.
