JEE Main April 2020 Exam Date: The National Testing Agency (NTA) which had earlier postponed the JEE Main April 2020 exam due to Coronavirus outbreak Tuesday said the exam could be held only in the last week of May.
"In continuation of PUBLIC NOTICE dated 18.03.2020 issued by the National Testing Agency regarding postponement of the ensuing JEE (Main) April 2020 examinations scheduled on the 5th, 7th to 9th and 11th April 2020, it is further notified that as of now the examination is proposed to be held in the last week of May 2020", the NTA said in a notification released today.
The NTA had earlier said that it would announce the revised date on March 31. It however now said that it has not yet finalised the exact date and time to conduct the JEE Main 2020 exam.
"Exact date will be announced after assessing the situation in the coming weeks", the NTA said.
"We are hopeful that we would get back to normal relatively soon; but for now, we are closely monitoring the scenario to evaluate if the situation may necessitate any change in the schedule", the NTA said.
The NTA has also delayed the download of JEE Main April 2020 Admit Card which was supposed to be issued on March 20.
"The Admit Cards for JEE Main April 2020 will now be issued after 15th April 2020 based on the situation at that time", the NTA said.
India is under lockdown till April 14 due to Coronavirus outbreak.
