City of the Prophet Madinah reports 02 Coronavirus deaths

Jeddah/Madinah: The City of the Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) Madinah Sunday reported 02 deaths due to Coronavirus (Covid-19) - the new virus which originated from China's Wuhan and spread to 180 countries of the world.

According to the latest Coronavirus updates coming from Saudi Arabia, the Kingdom reported 04 new COVID-19 deaths Sunday. Of them 02 are in Madinah and the other 02 are from the coastal city Jeddah.

All the 04 Corona deaths are of non-local residents. The latest Covid 19 deaths took the Saudi Arabia Coronavirus casualties total to 08, Arab News reported Monday morning.

Jeddah sealed

After the emergence of new Coronavirus cases, Saudi authorities have sealed Jeddah and also extended curfew hours from 03:00 pm. The same precautionary measure were imposed earlier on the cities of Qatif, Riyadh, Makkah and Madinah.

Saudi Arabia has so far reported 1,299 Coronavirus positive cases from different parts of the Kingdom including 96 new cases reported on Sunday. The Kingdom has also reported 66 recoveries.

City wise Corona virus cases in Saudi Arabia

Of the total 96 new Covid-19 cases in Saudi Arabia Sunday, Riyadh has reported 27 - the highest number of Coronavirus cases.

Dammam has reported 23 new corona positive cases on Sunday, Jeddah 12, Khobar 04, and 01 each from Tabuk, Qatif, Saihat, Taif, Khamis Mushait and Hufof.

The two holy cities Makkah and Madinah have respectively reported 07 and 14 new Corona positive cases as on Sunday March 29, according to Saudi Ministry of Health.

As many as 665,616 people have been infected by the novel corona virus in the world as on March 29. Of them 141,789 have recovered whereas 30,587 people in different parts of the world have lost their life.
