New Delhi: In another decision which could further intensify protests against the National Testing Agency (NTA), the exam conducting authority has postponed the CSIR UGC NET June 2024 exam.
The NTA had scheduled the CSIR UGC NET 2024 exam from June 25 to 27, 2024.
It had on June 15, 2024, Advance Intimation of Examination City allotted to the applicants.
The candidates were now waiting for their admit card or hall ticket. However, instead of the admit card, candidates who registered for the CSIR UGC NET June 2024 exam, got the notification saying the exam has been postponed.
The NTA cited “unavoidable circumstances” and “logistic issues” issues as the reason behind the decision to postpone the CSIR UGC NET June 2024.
“The candidates are hereby informed that the Joint CSIR-UGC-NET Examination June-2024 which was scheduled to be held between 25.06.2024 to 27.06.2024 is being postponed due to unavoidable circumstances as well as logistic issues”, the NTA said in a notification released Friday.
The NTA has not disclosed the new date and time of the CSIR UGC NET exam but said the revised schedule will be published soon.
“The revised schedule for the conduct of this examination will be announced later through the official website”, the NTA said.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) conducts the Joint CSIR UGC NET Examination for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and for Lectureship in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode for a total of six subjects.
The NTA is already facing nationwide protests and legal cases over allegations of paper leaks and irregularities in NEET UG 2024 and UGC NET 2024.
