WB UG Admission 2024: The West Bengal Council of Higher Education (WBCHSE) has started the registration process for admission in various Undergraduate (UG) courses for the academic year 2024-25.

The online registration started on June 24, 2024. The last date of application is July 07, 2024.

Eligible candidates can now apply through the newly launched centralized admission portal "wbcap.in". The registration is open to any candidate who has passed Class 12 (Plus Two) or an equivalent examination.

The West Bengal Council of Higher Education (WBCHSE) has started Centralised Admission System for admission in 7,230 courses and programmes run by 461 colleges and Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) affiliated to 16 state universities.

Candidates can refer the step by step application guide before online registration and filling up the application form under "How to Apply".

Centralised Portal provides a single window gateway for admission to the UG Courses / Programmes offered by 461 Govt. and Govt. Aided Colleges / Universities across the State of West Bengal.

"Considering the need of uniformity, transparency in the admission system in all colleges/ Universities under the administrative control of the Higher Education Department, Government of West Bengal with an aim to provide opportunities to the students, to choose their desired course in the desired colleges via a single window platform and also to stop multiple admission by a single student in various colleges/Universities so that maximum number of seats can be filled up in all colleges/Universities in every academic year, the State Government has been considering for some time the need of designing a single web based online portal to conduct centralised admission process for taking an admission in UG level courses in all colleges/Universities under the administrative control of the Higher Education Department", the council says.
