New Delh: Stage is all set for
the National Delegates Meet of the newly launched Social Democratic
Party of India, (SDPI), Sunday on October 18 here in the FICCI
auditorium. About 600 delegates from all over India are converging
in the national capital of India for the Meet.
According to A.
Sayeed, General Secretary SDPI, the party will also release its
manifesto on the occasion. E. Abubacker, president of the SDPI, will
preside over the Meet and will release the party’s Manifesto.
Sayeed informed
that SDPI was formed on June 21st this in New Delhi and was
officially declared on July 29th. The SDPI has its presence in 16
states with about 1.5 lakh party cadres. State Committees have been
formed in Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, West Bengal,
Manipur, Kerala, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Pondicherry, Bihar and Goa,
he added
He said: “SDPI
aims ultimate Freedom from Hunger and Freedom from Fear. It will
lead popular struggle against fascism, dictatorial tendencies and
anti-people laws and will work for development of a substantial and
eco-friendly economic model based on zero interest. SDPI will lead
the nation to the concept of welfare state with emphasis on
efficient public distribution system, free education and health to
all citizens of the republic”. Enactments to ensure a corruption
free administration will have high priority in the Party agenda, he
added.
The Theme Paper on
“Freedom from hunger; Freedom from fear” will be presented by
Maulana. Usman Baig Rshadi.
Six eminent
personalities Syed Shahabuddin, ex-Member of Parliament, E. M.
Abdurrahman, chairman Popular Front of India (PFI); Dr Suresh
Khairnar, convener Dharm Nirpeksh Nagrik Munch; Dr Zafarul Islam
Khan, president All India Muslim Majlis-e-Mushawarat; Bhai Tej
Singh, president Ambedkar Samaj Party; and K.M. Shareef, general
secretary PFI, will be the guest speakers at the Meet.
