Gandhinagar: The Supreme Court appointed Special Investigation Team (SIT), which is inquiring post-Godhra riots of 2002 in the state, questioned former BJP general secretary Nalin Bhatt at SIT office here today.
The questioning, which began this afternoon at around 1530 hrs.
Talking to mediapersons at the end of the questioning, Bhatt said he could not divulge details of the questions posed by the SIT members as the matter is sub judice. ''I answered all the questions truthfully,'' he said.
''I remembered Ravishanker Maharaj, Pt Deendayal Upadhyay and Dr Shyamaprasad Mukherji as I was about to appear before the SIT team. I had taken a pledge that I would co-operate with the SIT and give true answers to their questions,'' he added.
Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi has been summoned by the SIT to appear before it on March 21.

The SIT, headed by former director of the Central Bureau of Investigation, R K Raghavan, is inquiring into complaints against Modi, some of his cabinet colleagues and others for their role in the post-Godhra riots in the state.
The SIT is expected to submit its report to the Supreme Court by April 30.
Maya Kodnani, former child and women welfare minister, was the first minister in the Modi Cabinet to be arrested by the SIT in connection with post-Godhra riots in March last year.
Till now, the SIT has examined a number of witnesses and gone through plethora of documents.
