Mumbai: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) Civil Services Mains Exam 2014 will begin from December 14, 2014, according to the time table released by the commission.
Last date for online registeration is November 11, 2014. The detailed application form for Civil Services (Main) Examination, 2014 can be filled on the UPSC main website October 28, 2014 onwards.
The written exam with a total of 1750 marks - divided equally in 7 papers, will be held from December 14 to December 20 in two sessions.
Candidates who had cleared the preliminary exams are eligible for the exam, and they need to apply for the main exam to remain eligible for final selection.
The envelope containing the print out of the DAF (CSM) that was submitted online by the successful candidate should be super scribed "Application for Civil Services (Main) Examination, 2014".
It can also be directly delivered at the Union Public Service Commission counter by November,18 2014, 5:00 p.m.
The first paper on December 14, according to the time table, is Essay - English followed by General Studies Paper 1 and General Studies Paper 2 on December 15.
December 16 is off then General Studies Paper 3 and General Studies Paper 4 are on December 17. December 18 is again off.
Optional Subject Paper I and Optional Subject Paper II will be on December 19.
The last paper of Indian Language, including Urdu, will be on December 20, 2014.
