Hajj 2020 Waiting List Confirmation: The Haj Committee of India in co-ordination with State Haj Committees will soon start confirmation of pilgrims in the Waiting List who will be given the chance to embark on Haj travel in the year 2020.
The Haj Committee of India had earlier asked pilgrims provisionally selected after Qurrah, draw of lots, to deposit Advance Haj Amount till February 25. This was the extended date and time as the initial date fixed to deposit the Advance Haj Amount was February 15.
As per the Haj Committee of India norms, selection of pilgrims in the state-wise draw of lot, Qurrah, is provisional unless and untill they deposit the Advance Haj Amount of Rs.81,000/- per person. Failure to deposit the Haj Advance Amount before the due date is treated as cancelation of their selection.
In such an event, pilgrims in the waiting list are given chance to deposit the Haj Advance Amount and confirm their pilgrimage to Makkah.
Though there is no public communication or announcement from the Haj Committee in this regard. However, sources said the Haj Committee in cooperation with State Haj Committees is finalising the state-wise list of pilgrims who have deposited the Advance Haj Amount and confirmed their travel to Makkah for the annual Haj ritual.
Once the list is finalised, the pilgrims in the waiting list in each state will be informed via phone call , sms, e-mail or may be by regular post, about their chance to confirm Haj travel. Pilgrims in the waiting list can also check their status on Haj Committee of India website www.hajcommittee.gov.in.
The pilgrims in the waiting list also get the chance to travel to Makkah through Haj Committee of India if number of pilgrims in a state is less than its allotted quota. In such a case the Haj Committee of India based on its norms and procedure distributes to other states such vacant seats.
Earlier, the State Haj Committees in Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Kerala, Karnataka,Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Rajasthan, West Bengal, Assam, Uttrakhand, Jharkhand and others conducted the draw of lots and qurrah for the applicants in their respective states. The state Haj Committees also prepared Hajj 2020 waiting list.
The Haj Committee of India has published the state and district-wise list of selected pilgrims (cover report) on its website.
After the confirmed slection of all Haj pilgrims, the Haj Committ of India will publish the Haj 2020 flight schedule from as many as 22 embarkation points of India.
However as per the Haj Action Plan 2020, the first outbound flight for Haj 2020 will depart from India on June 25, 2020. The last outbound Haj 2020 flight will be on July 26, 2020. The first inbound Haj flight from Saudi Arabia to India will be on August 04, 2020.
