Malegaon: The American Federation of Muslims of Indian Origin (AFMI) will hold its 20th International Convention on Education and Gala Award Program in Marwari College Hall, at Ranchi on December 24-25, 2011.
 

Gold, silver and bronze Medals along with merit certificates and cash scholarships will be awarded to students of X and XII who have excelled in the state board examinations from each state of India.

 

"Last year, students from 25 states participated and we expect similar or more participation this year", said an AFMI press release.

"If you are an NRI and visiting India, you are most welcome to attend the event. Your presence will encourage, motivate and inspire our talented students. A good number of overseas delegates, especially from USA and Canada, will participate", it added.

Dr Syed Ahmed (Governor of Jharkhand), Subodh Kant Sahay (Union minister of Tourism), Ram Vilas Paswan (MP and former Union Minister), Badruddin Ajmal (MP), Dr. Anwar A Khan (VC, Jharkhand University),
Dr Syed Hasan (INSAN,Bihar), Sirajuddin Qureshi (IICC-Delhi), Kareem Salar (Jalgaon) and P.A. Inamdar(Pune) have confirmed their presence as guest.

Confirmation is awaited from, Maulana Syed Mohammad Wali Rehmani, head of Khankahe Rehmania (Bihar) and Vice President of All India Majlis E
Mushawarat, Asrarul Haq Qasmi, MP, Abhay Ananad, DIG, Bihar, Dr
Vizarat Rasool Khan of Hydrabad, AP and Justice (Supreme court) Altamas
Kabir.

Following the convention, AFMI delegates will travel to the following cities for project reviews and zonal conferences.

Dec 26- Kolkata
Dec 27,- Lucknow, AFMI’s UP Zonal Convention

Dec 28th,-New Delhi, AFMI’s conference on “Women Empowerment through
Education” at India Islamic Cultural Centre. This conference is being held in association with the National Commission for Minority Educational Institutions and All India Confederation for Women’s Empowerment Through Education, New Delhi.

 

The conference will be inaugurated by State Minister E Ahamad and presided by Justice M K A Siddiqui. Women delegates from Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Delhi, Haryana, West Bengal, Jammu & Kashmir, Assam and Rajasthan will participate.

Dec 29th-Delhi, Conference on Dalits and Minorities

Dec 30th-Burhanpur, Madhya Pradesh. Madhya Pradesh Zonal Convention.
