Malegaon: A day after Prant Officer (SDM) Malegaon and Tahsildar of Revenue Department seized two vehicles owned by Malegaon Municipal Corporation (MMC), the local civic body officials in a tit-for-tat sealed the Old Prant Office.
The Municipal Corporation officers also disconnected water connection from the residence of Tahslidar.
Tension between Revenue Department and Malegaon Municipal Corporation escalated and took ugly turn on Tuesday when Malegaon Prant Officer Ajay More and Tahsildar Jyoti Deore accompanied by other officials of Revenue Department seized two vehicles owned by the civic body.
The Revenue Department also sealed Slaughter House which has been leased to Allana Sons.
"Tuesday's action was taken since the Malegaon Municipal Corporation was neither clearing its dues nor was willing to renew expired agreement", Prant Officer Ajay More said.
The dispute between the two government establishments turned worst on Wednesday when officials of Malegaon Municipal Corporation sealed the Old Prant Office and also disconnected the water connection from the residence of Tahsildar Jyoti Deore.

The Old Prant Office premises is currently being used as makeshift jail, and according to Tahsildar Jyoti Deore, the civic body officials wanted all prisoners to be escorted out before they seal the premises.
"It is a serious matter. Hence, after an hour long consultation with top officers we decided to lodge a police complaint against Municipal Corporation officials", Tahsildar Jyoti Deore said.
In her two-page complaint lodged with the police, Tahsildar Jyoti Deore has named Municipal Commissioner Sangita Dhayagude, Deputy Commissioner Raju Khairnar and others.
Meanwhile, local MLA Asif Shaikh Rasheed has dashed two separate letters to District Collector and Revenue Secretary in Mumbai, urging them to resolve the dispute between the two government offices as early as possible.
