Tel Aviv: In a touching video shared by the Israeli media, a Jewish teen revealed he learnt Tasbeeh and Shahadah while in the custody of the Palestinian Resistance Group Hamas in Gaza.
Tasbeeh is the glorification of Allah, the Almighty, and Shahadah is the creed Muslims pronounce to declare there is no God but Allah and Muhammad (peace be upon him) is the messenger of Allah.
9-year-old Ohad Munder was taken hostage along with his mother and grandmother on October 7, 2023 when Hamas and other Resistance fighters stormed the occupied Palestinian territories under the Zionist occupation as part of their Operation al Aqsa Flood.
Ohad Munder, his mother and grandmother were among the 13 Israeli hostages released by Hamas on November 24, 2023 as part of a prisoners exchange deal.
In an interview with Hebrew Channel 13, Ohad Munder when asked did he learn anything while with Hamas militants in Gaza, he replied it was Subhanallah, Alhamdulillah and Allah o Akbar (Tasbeehat) and Shahadah (La Ilaha Illallah Muhammadur Rasulullah).
“They taught me how to say Subhanallah, Alhamdulillah, La Ilaha Illallah Muhammadur Rasulullah and Allah o Akbar”, he said.
When asked if he learnt any Arabic. He said:
“Yes. A little bit.”
When asked to give example, he said:
“Khiarah”.
Khiar or Khayara is the Arabic equivalent of Cucumber.

Ohad Munder also revealed the Palestinian fighters use “prayer beads” which he described as “rosary” used to say the Apostles' Creed.
“They use the rosary, and they taught me what to say using it”, he said adding Muslims use it for Tasbeeh in different ways, describing what he learned as enjoyable to say “Subhan Allah (Glory be to God), Alhamdulillah (Praise be to God), La ilaha illallah (There is no god but Allah), Allahu Akbar (Allah is the Greatest).”
“It was a good experience, by the way”, he said.
Ohad Munder’s interview is the latest to demonstrate how Hamas and other Palestinian fighters treated the hostages despite facing strict blockade and relentless round the clock bombardments by the Israeli Occupation Forces.
Earlier, an Israeli mother, Daniel Aloni, left behind a handwritten letter thanking the Resistance Fighters for treating them well during the captivity, especially according a queen like status to her 6-year-old daughter Emilia.
The videos that surfaced during the hostage release process also showed emotional moments, exchanges of greetings, handshake and warm displays of hi five, as if the Israelis in Gaza were on some family tour and after a pleasant stay are now saying good-bye to their hosts.
Meanwhile, Israeli forces in more than 100 days of airstrikes on Gaza killed more than 24,000 Palestinians, more than 70 percent of them women and children, according to the Health Ministry of Palestine.
On Tuesday January 16, 2024, the Hamas released a video confirming the deaths of two hostages -Yossi Sharabi (53) and Itay Svirsky (38), have been killed in the airstrike by the Israeli Occupation Forces.
The Hamas also said that Noa Arugmani, a 26-year-old female, is injured in the Israeli missile attack. In the video, Noa described in details how Yossi Sharabi and Itay Svirsky were killed in the Israeli missile attacks.
