Mumbai University UG Admission 2025: The University of Mumbai is releasing today on its official website mu.ac.in the First Merit List of students who have applied for various Undergraduate (UG) courses for the year 2025-26.

The University of Mumbai is conducting the online process for admissions in various Undergraduate (UG) courses in two phases.

The Phase 1 of UG admission in Mumbai University began before declaration of the HSC Class 12th result on April 22, 2025.

The university began Phase 2 of application process on May 08, 2025 – three days after the Maharashtra board announced Class 12th HSC results of the year 2025.

As per the university, more than 2,53,000 students have submitted over 8,11,000 applications for various UG courses in as many as 850 affiliated colleges, autonomous institutions and university departments.

The students will know the status of their application today when the university will release the First Merit List based on the options and choices submitted by the students.

As per the admission notification released by the university, the first allotment list will be released today at 05:00 PM.

Steps to Check Mumbai University First Merit List 2025

• Go to the official website: "mu.ac.in/admission"
• Click on the link marked as "Admission 2025-26"
• Click on "First Year Degree College Merit List 2025"
• Select the name of the college you have applied for
• Check the list of allotted students
• Proceed for document verification and confirmation of admission if you are satisfied with the allottment of the college
• If you are not satisfied, you can proceed for the second and consequent rounds of Mumbai university admissions.

As per the Mumbai University admission schedule 2025, document verification and payment of fees should be done from May 28 to 30, 2025 up to 03:00 PM.

Candidates should note that Second Merit List will be published on May 31, 2025.

• Registration for Phase 1: April 22, 2025 onwards
• Registration for Phase 2: May 08 to 23, 2025
• First Merit List Release Date: May 27, 2025
• Online Verification and Fee Payment: May 28 to 30, 2025
• Second Merit List Release Date: May 31, 2025
• Second Round Online Verification and Fee Payment: June 02 to 04, 2025
• Third Merit List Release Date: June 05, 2025
• Third Round Online Verification and Fee Payment: June 06 to 10, 2025

Students should note that after three rounds of admission, classes will start from June 13, 2025.
