Maha Govt. announces Fee Reimbursement Scheme for minority students

Malegaon: In yet another important attempt to reach to the minorities, the Government of Maharashtra has announced Fee Reimbursement Scheme under Employment Oriented Training Program for the minorities in the state.

 

Under the scheme formulated by the Minorities Development Department Maharashtra Government , students belonging to Muslim, Buddhist, Christian, Sikh, Parsi and Jain communities whose annual income does not exceed Rs. 2.50 lakhs can get reimbursement of the fees they had paid for the 27 listed professional training courses.

 

Eligible students for this scheme must have enrolled themselves in the listed courses between 01.04.2009 to 31.03.2010.

 

30% quota is reserved for the girl-students.

 

This scheme is to continue in the next year too. If there is a good response, the total number of scholarships can be increased substantially from this year’s 5,000 to benefit more students.

 

Applications in the prescribed format along with required documents including photograph and income certificate should be submitted to Directorate of Technical Education's Mumbai office latest by February 25, 2010.

 

27 listed courses are:

Maharashtra State Certificate Course in Information Technology (MSCIT), Certificate Course in Foundry Technology, Certificate Course in Flexographic Printing/Offset Printing/Screen Printing, Certificate Course in Embedded System, Certificate Course in Energy Management and Audit, Computer Hardware Maintenance, Computer Networking, Laptop Maintenance, Mobile Maintenance, Fax/Printing/Computer Maintenance, Programmable Logic Control (PLC), PCB Design, ASP.Net Programming, Java/Advance Java/C Programming, CorelDraw/Photoshop/PageMaker/Illustrator, Animation/Multimedia/Web Designing, Auto CAD, Hotel Management and Catering Technology, Travels and Tourism, Dress Designing and Fashion Technology, and short term courses in Government College of Arts and State Government Technical and Pharmacy Institutes.
