Ramallah (West Bank): In a shocking incident, Israeli forces Wednesday May 21, 2025 fired at International diplomats visiting the Jenin refugee camp in the occupied West Bank.

The delegation of the foreign diplomats who were shot at by the Israeli forces in West Bank included representatives of the European Union, the United Kingdom, Russia, China and India.

Israeli Occupation forces fired live ammunition at a diplomatic delegation from more than 30 countries during its field visit to the city of Jenin In Occupied West Bank, according to Palestinian officials and news agency Wafa.

The far right Zionist regime instead of expressing regret said the diplomats were fired at as they deviated from the pre-decided route.

“The soldiers operating in the area fired warning shots to distance them away,” Israel’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.

No one is injured in the shooting incident. The video footage from the scene however showed diplomats fleeing in panic as shots rang out.

"Shocking, Unacceptable"

The firing at diplomats has sparked a huge outrage.

"We demand the launch of a full investigation so that similar incidents do not happen again", China Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Mao Ning said.

UK Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State Hamish Falconer while terming the incident "unacceptable" said, "There must be a full investigation, and those responsible should be held accountable."

Irish Prime Minister Micheal Martin while slamming the incident said he was shocked and horrified by the Israeli forces' action.

"I am deeply shocked and horrified that the [Israeli forces] today opened fire on a group of diplomats visiting the town of Jenin", he said.

The visit was organised to assess the humanitarian situation in Jenin and the extent of suffereings of Palestinians at the hands of the Israeli forces.

The incident comes amid growing international pressure on Israel over its ongoing military operations in Gaza.

Hours after this shocking incident, two staff members of the Israeli Embassy in Washington, were killed in a shooting incident. The accused, who has been detained, shouted 'Free Palestine' in custody.
