Nashik: Controversial Hindu Guru Asaram Bapu February 16 met prime accused in Malegaon blast case Pragnya Singh Thakur at Nashik Ayurved Sangh Hospital for half an hour.

The meeting took place after advocate Umesh Walzade, counsel of Pragnya Singh, moved an application on February 15  to allow Asaram Bapu to meet ailing Pragnya, presently undergoing ayurvedic treatment in the hospital.

It was not known as to what transpired at the meeting.

Asaram Bapu only told reporters that he wished her good health and offered blessings to her.

Jail officers, Advocate Umesh Walzade, hospital's medical officer were present during the meeting this afternoon.

Aasaram Bapu is in Nashik since February 12 to deliver his religious discourses and conduct a yoga camp that ended on February 15.

 

He was recently in news after the controversy erupted due to the death of children at his Gujarat ashram.
