Malegaon: Centre for the Study
of Social Exclusion and Inclusive Policy (Funded by the UGC, New
Delhi), Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU), Hyderabad
will be organizing a National Conference for three days on 22-14
February, 2010.
The theme of the
conference is "Exclusionary Perspectives for Muslims &
Marginalized Groups”.
Eminent social
scientist from different parts of India will be attending the
conference.
The
deliberations of the conference will be an input for enhancing our
understanding towards the problems of the marginalized and excluded
groups among Muslims.
Distinguished
sociologists, political scientists, economists and historians from
JNU, Delhi School of Economics, AMU, JMI, TISS (Mumbai) are expected
to contribute towards identification of Muslims as an excluded group
within various theoretical and methodological frameworks.
Over one hundred
delegates from different parts of India are expected to participate
in the deliberations in an intensive 12 technical sessions.
The
Conference will
be inaugurated by Dr. Amir Ullah Khan, Research Director & Dean,
Bangalore Management Academy, Bagalore.
Vice Chancellor,
I/c Prof. K. R. Iqbal Ahmed will be presiding the function.
Prof. S.A. Wahab,
Registrar I/c, MANUU & Sri Ishwariah, F.O. MANUU, will be guest of
honour.
Dr. S. M. Ilyas,
Director NAARM (Hyderabad), will be delivering Valedictory address
on 24th Feb. 2010.
