Aligarh: A two-member team of Hiking and Mountaineering Club, Aligarh Muslim University participated in Advance Mountaineering Course-cum-Mountaineering Expedition held at Mt. Golap Kangri located at Zanskar Range of the Western Himalayas near the Karkoram Range at Leh (Ladakh).
The two member team comprised Mohammad Abdullah Khan, a student of MA (Previous) and Monis Siddiqui, a student of BA (II).
Both the students completed the above mentioned course and climbed a height of 6000 meters.
"This is a big achievement for the Hiking and Mountaineering Club", a university official said.
The Mountaineering course was organized by the Jawahar Institute of Mountaineering and Winter Sports, Pahalgam (J&K).
Prof. Tariq Mansoor, Secretary, University Games Committee and Dr. Shadab Khurshid, President, Hiking and Mountaineering Club have congratulated the players on the achievement.
