Maharashtra FYJC Admission 2025: The Maharashtra Sports and Education Department has published the Information Booklet explaining at length the registration steps, details of CAP rounds and other related information pertaining to the FYJC or Class 11 admission 2025.

The Maharashtra Education Department has been conducting online admission process for FYJC and Class 11th in Mumbai MMR from 2009-10, and Mumbai MMR, Pune, Nagpur, Nashik, Aurangabad (discontinued in 2022) and Amravati from 2013-14.

The department, however, has decided to conduct admission for Class 11 or Junior Colleges across Maharashtra in online mode via a centralized CAP Round Process from the academic year 2025-26, as per a government notification.

The CAP Round based centralised process will be held for admission in 9,281 Junior Colleges of Maharashtra having over 20 lakh seats in Science, Arts and Commerce streams.

The Education Department conducted from May 19 to 20, 2025 Mock Registration of students on the website "mahafyjcadmissions.in" specially launched for the purpose.

The actual registration, filling of Part 1 Form and Part 2 i.e. Option Form submission will begin at 11:00 AM Wednesday May 21, 2025. The last date of application is May 28, 2025.

FYJC Admission Information Booklet

The Maharashtra Sports and Education Department has published a detailed Information Booklet explaining in complete details with the help of flow charts and graphics the admission process, registration process, details of CAP Rounds.

The 77-page FYJC Admission Information Booklet in PDF is available in Marathi and English languages.

As per the Information Booklet, there will be a total 04 Rounds - Zero Round plus 04 CAP Rounds.

"Special or Open Rounds will be conducted if the seats remain vacant after the conclusion of regular rounds", the Maharashtra Education Department said.

The department further said admission in all the junior colleges that have been classified as Government/Local body, aided, partially aided, unaided and self financed, will be done through online admission process.

"The centralised admisson however will not be applicable for Night Junior Colleges, Military Junior Colleges, Special Junior Colleges for Divyanga/Disabled students, HSVC, Trible and other department Junior colleges i.e. Ashram School etc. and Non Affiliated to State Boards schools and colleges", the FYJC Information Booklet says.

FYJC Admission Maharashtra - Key Highlights

  • Students, who have passed SSC or equivalent examination from any recognized board and seeking admission to Std. XI in any of the Jr. College in all above destined corporation areas, must participate in the online admission process.
  • All Quota Admissions - Management quota, Inhouse quota and Minority quota will be done during Zero Round. A total of 10% seats will be filled as per the Inhouse quota, 5% will be Management quota and 50% seats will be reserved for Minorities.
  • Minority quota seats can be filled by the end of four regular rounds and the vacant seats of minority quota if so, can be surrendered to CAP after three regular rounds only.
  • The Fee of the unaided, self-financed Jr. College is decided as per Maharashtra Educational Institutes (regulation of fees) Act 2011 by the school management, so the various Jr. Colleges may have different fees. Thus there can be different fee structures for aided and unaided divisions in the same Jr. College.
  • For Bifocal and information Technology (IT) subjects, fee may be charged seperately.
  • Each student will get a chance of giving or modifying his college preferences and options before every round. It will be mandatory to lodge students consent on portal before every all round who fails to give consent online for that round will not be considered for the respective round.

Maharashtra FYJC Admission 2025 - Important Dates

The Maharashtra Education Department has not yet published the detailed admission schedule. However, the FYJC Admission Important Dates are:

  • Mock Registration: May 19 to 20, 2025
  • Actual Registration: May 21 to 28, 2025
  • FYJC Provisional Merit List 2025 Release Date: May 30, 2025
  • Raising objection and seeking correction: Till 04:00 PM June 1, 2025
  • FYJC Admission 2025 Final Merit List Release Date: June 03, 2025
  • Zero Round of Seat Allocation: June 05, 2025
  • Confirmation of seats should be done from June 06 to 12, 2025.

FYJC Admission 2025 - Steps

The online application process or CAP round for admission in Class 11 or FYJC in Maharashra involves the following steps.

  • Step 1: Colleges are asked to register on the website giving their name, address, registration details and strength or number of seats and vacancies available for admission. The last date for colleges to register is May 15, 2025.
  • Step 2: Students are required to fill Part 1 online form. FYJC Part 1 form is filled before the announcement of Class X result. The form asks for name, address, age, gender, caste and other basic details of the student. FYJC Part 1 form submission will start on May 21. The registration fee of INR 100 is required to be paid online, as per the FYJC Admission 2025 notification.
  • Step 3: FYJC Part 2 or Option form is submitted after filling Part 1 Form. Students will be required to fill Part 2 Option form. The form asks for Class 10 marks and score and preferred college choices.

According to the FYJC 2025 Notification, the education department will conduct 4 CAP rounds for admission to Class XI. The seat allotment will be done on Merit.

"Class XI should start after completion of all four rounds. The admission process will be done till the last student gets admission", the department said.
