New Delhi: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has declared online the results of 2016 Compartmental Exam of Class XIIth (Class 12th) on its official website. The CBSE Class 12th Compartmental Exam results were declared Friday, August 5.
The results are now online and candidate can check their results by clicking here: www.cbseresults.nic.in.

- Click on Sumbit
Along with indvidual results, the CBSE has also declared schoolwise results. The CBSE Class 12th Compartmental Exam Schoolwise results can also be checked by logging in to the CBSE reults website.
The CBSE in an official statement released earlier had said that it will release the CBSE Class 12th Compartmental 2016 Exam results in second week of August. The results were however announced a week in advance.
"The result of the Class 12th Compartmental Examination 2016 is likely to be declared in the second week of August, 2016", the CBSE is said in an official notification.
"This is only a probable date for declaration of result. No enquiries about the actual date of declaration of result will be attended to", it added.
The Class XII Compartmental Examination 2016 for all subjects was held on July 16, 2016.
Likewise, the Class X Compartmental Examination 2016 for all subjects was held on July 16 to July 23, 2016. In addition to theory examination, practical examination was also held for the candidates who had failed in practical in a subject involving practical.
The Class X Compartmental Examination 2016 result is expected to be declared in the third week of August, according to the CBSE. But, it can be announced earlier if the trends at the CBSE is to be followed. The CBSE has said it will declare the Class 12th Compartmental Examination 2016 results in second week of August. But, the results were declared in the first week. It is hence expected that Class X Compartmental Examination 2016 result can also be declared early.
The CBSE conducts Compartmental or Supplementary exams for Class XII as well as Class X every year for the candidates who are failed or have got E1/E2 grade in the annual examination conducted in the month of February/March.
As per the CBSE rules, a candidate failing in one of the five subjects of external examination is placed in Compartment in that subject provided he or she qualifies in all the subjects of internal assessment.
A candidate placed in Compartment examination may reappear at the Compartmental examination held in July the same year, may avail second chance in March/April and third chance in July of next year.
The candidate will be declared ‘PASS’ provided he or she qualifies the compartmental subjects in which she had failed. Syllabi and Courses are the same as applicable for the candidates of full subjects appearing at the examination in the year concerned.
A candidate who fails to appear or fails at one or all the chances of the Compartment examination is treated to have failed in the examination and is required to reappear in all the subjects at the subsequent annual examination of the Board as per syllabi and courses laid down for the examination concerned in order to pass the examination.
The candidates’ practical marks/internal assessment marks obtained in the Main examination will be carried over till the third chance compartmental examination.
