SSC CGL 2017: Last date to apply for Tier I exam extended till June 19

The last date for online registration of the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) SSC Combined Graduate Level (CGL) Tier I Exam has been extended till June 19, an official statement issued on the SSC website said.

The last date to apply for SSC CGL Tier I exam was earlier set as June 16. The commission has however now given three more days to the candidates who could not apply due to technical reasons.

"It has come to the notice of the Commission that some of the applicants have faced technical problems in filling on-line application forms for CGLE, 2017 during the last two days.

"Keeping in view this inconvenience caused to the applicants, the Commission has, in the interest of the applicants, decided to extend the last date of filling of on-line application forms for CGLE, 2017 till 5 pm on June 19, 2017", the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) said in the official statement.

"As regard payments made through challans, it is informed that in those cases where challans have been generated by the applicants before 5.00 PM on 19.6.2017, they could make the payment to the designated Branches of SB I using this challan within the working hours of the Bank upto 21.6.2017", the statement said further.

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) SSC Combined Graduate Level (CGL) Tier I Exam will be held between August 01 to August 20, 2017.

The exam will be Computer based.

For the SSC Combined Graduate Levele (CGLE) Tier -I Computer based Examination 2017 the number of questions has been reduced from 200 to 100. The paper will be of 200 marks with each question carrying 2 marks. The duration of the examination would be 75 minutes, according to official notification.

Candidates passing the SSC CGLE Tier-I 2017 exam will only be eligible for the Tier-II exam.

The Tier-II of the examination would comprise four papers in total. Each paper would be for duration of two hours. Of these four papers, two papers i.e. Paper-I and Paper-II is compulsory for all the candidates.

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) SSC Combined Graduate Level (CGL) Tier I Exam is being conducted for filling up different categories of posts in various ministries/ departments/ organisations. subject to administrative / public exigencies.
